COMMUNITY FUN RUN & DRIVE

In summer 2024, Bro Bro London hosted its very first Fun Run and School Uniform Drive. A smaller event in size, but one that had a lasting impact.

The idea came from Cameron, who wanted to raise funds to support families with the rising cost of living and its impact on purchasing school uniforms. With the help of his mentor Micah, a community leader known for his work with the Brixton Soup Kitchen, the vision became a reality. Though based in South London, Micah travelled to East London and gave Cameron a locals tour of South London, to guide Cameron through his first community project, sharing wisdom, energy, and encouragement every step of the way.

Cameron’s story of community spirit and determination was picked up by ITV News, helping raise awareness and momentum around the campaign. With this added visibility, he reached, and then surpassed his ambitious goal of raising £3,000 to help provide school uniforms for children who needed them most.

The event itself brought together families, local supporters, and volunteers for a day filled with joy and purpose. A highlight of the day was a high-energy warm-up led by Andre, founder of Mafia Moves, who generously volunteered his time to get everyone moving and motivated before the run. Cameron was also joined by Jadon (@duragdude) whose love for fitness was infectious throughout their 5k run.

Looking ahead to Summer 2025, we’re already planning to build on that foundation. The next event (on Saturday 28th June 2025), will feature not just the 5K run, but also a range of family-friendly activities designed to get everyone active, engaged, and connected.

We believe community health goes beyond physical fitness, it’s about coming together, having fun, and supporting one another.
